Jasper County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or pull official booking records. For an authoritative answer, contact the agency that created or holds the record.

Jasper County Sheriff and Jail

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is the practical first contact for a county jail booking, current custody question, or request for a booking record or photograph. Sheriff Brandon Francis is listed at the county office. The page lists office hours as 24/7, but call before traveling because a records question and a jail visit have different procedures.

Sheriff's Office

Brandon Francis, Sheriff
106 E. Morgan Street
Newton, IL 62448

Office: (618) 783-3057

Jail and Non-Emergency

Jasper County Jail
106 E. Morgan Street
Newton, IL 62448

Jail: (618) 783-3462
Non-emergency/dispatch: (618) 783-8477

For an emergency, use 911. Do not visit the jail to confront or seek out a person. The official Jail Report is the county's current public-custody page, but the inspected interface shows only a name, charge, and bond.

Records and FOIA Requests

The county's FOIA procedure says requests should be written and specific. The County FOIA form directs requests to the Jasper County Clerk FOIA Officer at 204 W. Washington Street, Suite 2, Newton, IL 62448, or statesattorney@jaspercounty.illinois.gov. Name the Sheriff/Jail as the department that may hold a booking record or photo and ask the county route to forward it if needed.

A good request identifies the person, approximate booking or arrest date, arresting agency, and separate record types. Ask for the legal basis of any denial or redaction. Illinois FOIA generally gives a public body five business days to respond, with a possible five-business-day extension for listed reasons. The county has not published a sheriff-specific photo fee. Ask about electronic-copy costs before payment.

Where to Send Other Questions

Different records belong to different custodians. Use the route that matches the question rather than sending every request to the jail.

Ste. Marie and Willow Hill have no verified separate municipal booking feed in the current research. County routing is the practical first step unless a village or arresting agency confirms another custodian.
